Hi Andre,
They are some nice looking machines, you are lucky to see one working
Is the vid of a steel or brass screw?
If i had the chance to buy one, i would do it just for the sake of saving an old piece of history. Even if i just restored it and never used it i would still be happy to have it sitting in the workshop, just to remind me of the ingenuity of our forefathers. Just think of the work that would have gone into designing and making one work, with no CAD, CNC machines or even a calculator.

Refresher
For those interested enough. The Bolex factory movie is worth watching again.

lol. Well I guess I could find a use for it.... its finding the space for it thats the problem. The Zeiss is sitting right next to me and the other one is in the spare room, so that saves some room in the shed. She may just think a lathe inside is going over some line or other

And I've wondered how you've justified the purchase of not one but two colposcopes.

Hi BT,
That's easy...... the first one cost me $70ish, so I couldn't let the ziess go for less than that. Though its really Rays fault because if I wasn't going halfway there to pick up some wax to try his machinable wax I might not have bought it(at least thats what I told her).
She is very good to me.
