Tap grinder is a goer.
SAM_0641.jpgSAM_0640.jpgHello from BC.
Well I finally offered up the first tap to sharpen. I had to go up to a 150mm dia wheel to get the attachment body to clear the wheel head. Aligning the tap chamfer was easy and spot on. The tap size adjustment had to be backed off to stop grinding excessive clearance. The process was over in seconds and the tap is like new. There was a lot of head scratching to get it setup as the table feed lever kept fouling on the base plate. Luckily the top table swivels and gave the room needed. Next is flute grinding but I will need the Rong Fu grinder to get the room I need.
Regards
BC
