    Default taper attachment from youtube

    This looks feasible for a newbie - might be of interest to others

    Make a taper attachment for your lathe - YouTube

    Need to make some internal and external tapers to improve my wood lathe.

    From what I have googled I need to roughly drill out the socket then finish with rough then fine reamers ? Any other methods for a newbie ?

    Have a number 2 Morse reamer for a loan, if you get stuck.

    Thanks for the offer Kryn, appreciated.

    No danger of needing it in short term - takes me ages to do stuff - am constantly amazed at how productive people on the forum can be - seems to be no bother at all for some folk to knock up new gadgets in an afternoon or two - often leaves me gobsmacked.

    Sometimes it takes me an afternoon just to be able to get in the shed, I will clean it tomorrow or next year!!!!!! wait that will be next year.
