    Default Taper turning attachments

    I have been looking at the taper turning attachment Hafco make them, the TPA-1000 is about the size I would need for my lathe has any one fitted one of these to their lathe, The other question is where can you find info on how to set it up as HF doesn't come with much instructions on this the attachment, it is a metric version any help would be great

    I didn't know angles could be in metric or imperial....

    Have a look on youtube, plenty of taper turning instructional vids there....

    Perhaps instead of inches per foot of taper, it may be mm per metre, if not I have no idea either.

    I have one which was removed from my colchester. It may have some instructions in their manual.

    Thanks for that info the other day looking at the local second hand book shop found a set of seven books called lathe work put out by the department of employment education and training a mouthful covering threading chuck and face plate, turning between centres and turning tapers how to set up. The books were printed in the 1980's and are no longer printed which is pity as they are great
