Hi John
I'm always on the lookout for one. Does that count?
I know there a couple of people on the forum who have them, so they should be able to help.
Regards
Ray

Hi Phil and Ray, thanks for the heads up.I have the bottom half of one here. it came with some other bits in a box. Didnt have a clue what it was but knew it was some thing well made. For a start thought it was some thing the old man who owned this lovely old r/bed Drummond had made as lots of bits were with it are works of art[if you can say that] even two hours of that old mans time would have been great[artisan in the sky now].So yesterday being such a wild crappy day was trawling through some stuff I have ear marked to read up on an Lo an Behold here was a pic of a Tapmatic . my answers were found about this mystery to me bit[ I dont know but we all got some thing lurking in our holdings of treasures.
Perhaps a new thread of What Is It?
Finally I have decided that this is an article a Tapmatic is on my wish list[it only gets bigger]
They are still made and parts are available made in UsA and U K. seen some on ebay Us already.
Reason i posted this thread was to see if any members had 1 and how they work.
I have a tapping machine here beautifully made and will post up some pics or all to see. Cheers one and all John.

Hi
I have 2 tapmatics! From memory they are A small 30x and larger 50x?
Bought off ebay at reasonable price. Not used them as yet other than to watch in amazement how they work. I think I need 2 more rubber collets to get full range of sizes. Quite heavy and well made. They are rebadged by others so can find them cheaper with a different name. I bought straight shank and will use in ER collet.

Hi
Not off the top of my head, no. Searching for Tapmatic usually finds them. Will say made bY Tapmatic etc. there are other brands Emco, Valentine,
Have seen some really good kits come up but had postage issues. I think one of mine was $150 landed and the other just a little less. Can get parts but expensive.

John,
is yours actually a tapmatic? I have two reversing tappers made by Archer (I think they both are). A MT2 and a MT3. You are welcome to borrow them to figure out what's missing on yours. They are similar in both contruction and operation to the Tapmatic.Cheers,
Joe
