Another Show and Tell - A Digit-Mike
I had mentioned the long wait, courtesy of USPS, I had for this recent acquistion in Bryan's Graziano thread and at Bryan's suggestion, here are a few photos of an unused rebadged Tesa micrometer. Free of the cracks in the plastic thimble I have seen on Bryan's smaller version and a couple of others on Ebay. Unfortunately, the standard is missing.

Wow. That's perfect. Good pickup. I won't ask how much. Nice to see the lit too. I got nothing with mine, not even a box.

Do you know what the bad news about that is Bob?
Now at the scraping class we will want you to bring it and you will have to scrape parallel to within +-1/2 micron now that you have the means to measure itLight red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

Bob, I have a 25mm and a 50mm one those Tesa digital mechanical micrometers. Bith mine have the thimble spit in exactly the same spot - that's why they were taken out of use and given to me as a present by a former emplyer's maintenace engineer. They work perfectly well but would collect swarf or dust in there if you were't very careful.
