Hi Peter,
Sorry, that's not what happened.. Graziano is no troll. His contributions to the forum were good value. He hadn't posted anything objectionable, neither had anyone else for that matter as far as I can tell, (although I didn't see everything before it got zapped) the mods appear to have just got a bit twitchy about the use of a particular word and deleted a whole stack of related posts.
I don't have a problem with that, and good for them doing their job as they see fit.
Just don't go blaming Mark (Graziano) for what happened. There's no compulsion for anyone to contribute to the forum, and if he wants to leave then so be it. That's just his choice, not a dummy spit.
The success or otherwise of a forum such as this depends as much on the contribution that members are willing to make as it does on anything else.
Regards
Ray

I've been a member here for 4 years don't post much do read a lot. In the time I have been here I have seen a few dummy spits. None that I recall were really called for. But this one has to take the prize for being the most pathetic.
If having a couple of worthless posts deleted caused this response from someone who until now seemed to be reasonable, there must be something else going on to elicit such a childish response.
Looks like he's taken his toys and gone running home to mummy. In my opinion, for what it is worth, he deserves to be banned if only for the patheticness of dummy spit alone.
DarkyEvil to the bone. But really cute.

Hi Darky,
I was one of the posters that had a post removed and after finding out why, agree fully with the mods decision.
I have to say I find what you posted a little infantile and offensive.
Mark (Graziano) has been a valuable contributor to this forum and will be sorely missed.
I guess this is my opinion and that was your opinion.

Posts were deleted by moderators because of inappropriate content. This content was directly responsible for of a lot number of inappropriate adult content ads being displayed to anyone who was not logged in to the forums.
So thanks to them any visitors were confronted with ads for dating services or worse when they should have been seeing ads specific to forum content.
This may seen trivial to some, but I assure you it is not. These ads help to keep these forums on line and free to members. Not only are the ads affected but as Groggy mentioned in an earlier post they can have an affect on the forums being used in schools. The education department scans forums like these regularly for key words and those used in a couple of the deleted posts could have seen the forums banned from all government secondary schools and possibly private ones as well.
So what seems trivial to some certainly is not. It is deadly serious and the reason why some of the posts were deleted. Others were deletes becaus they were no longer relevant after the deletion of the offending posts and subsequent posts as has already been explained.
Graziano's posts were deleted because the were no longer relevant or in context.
I feel sorry for him, that he was so offended he felt he had to leave.
However I am not and will not apologise to him or anyone else for the moderators doing their job and protecting the forums from what could have been a catastrophic problem. Hopefully those in the education department who monitor such things are on holiday with the rest of them and this wasn't picked up.
Please bare in mind that these forums are entirely FREE for members to use and are run by volunteers who give freely and often tirelessly of their time. Members are free to post whatever they, wish so long as it's within the bounds of reasonable content and no spam or adult content, etc, etc. Members are also free to leave if they don't like the way the forums are run.
As for deleting members who choose to leave and ask that their content etc be deleted. This request falls on deaf ears as deleting their posts etc also deleted those of many others and we will not allow this to happen. If a member decides to leave of his/her own accord they will be marked as retired. If they are banned they are marked as banned, but content is not deleted.
This thread has now reached a conclusion and is closed for further posting.
If anyone feels they have been slighted or don't agree with the way this has been dealt with, please put it in a new thread and it will be dealt with there.
Neil
