Timber sheet metal folder
This 6' sheet metal folder is largely made from timber and was made by The Double Truss Cornice Brake Co of Buffalo NY late 1800's early 1900's. There are a few obviously metal parts and the actual folding edges are steel, but apart from that its 90% timber. It was in use until not too many years ago in the small sheet metal shop attached to the local hardware, now it resides in Laidley Pioneer Village and still gets used from time to time for the odd maintenance or restoration job.

Hi Bob,
that must be some seriously strong timber they used although you are lucky I even saw the folder.
There is a nice little Weirs feed pump laying on its back in the background in the first pic.

Many many many thanks Bob.
I reckon it is the same size as mine, a bit sad she is laying down but at least it hasn't seen the scrappy .
