If you want to know the street value of 80 kilo's of coke.... it's $30 per 40 kilo bag. ( that's the black variety, the white variety is a bit dearer )
Thanks Dale for the quick blacksmithing lesson, he knocked out a holdfast in no time.. the forge has been somewhat idle since the last batch of charcoal got burned,
I think my forge needs to be redesigned, and maybe a better blower.
But it worked well enough to show that coke is a much better fuel than charcoal.
Ray
PS That B&S indicator stand of Dales's is a real treasure.. heavy, and rigid.. very nice.

Thanks for the photos. I'd thought it was a bit bigger (4" to 4 1/2"), but still a size to be handy. It looks like the (nearly) half round just sits in the trough without any retention needed. I assume the pieces on the end act as clamps to hold the N.H. round at the right angle?
An interesting piece anyway.

The round part just sits in the cradle and really sticks to itself. The clamp are to lock the angle so it doesn't move for accuracy.
