Hello Aaron,
The chuck was in reasonable nick although there was a lot of galling on the nut. I cleaned the nut up in the lathe and used a fine diamond file to remove the galling. The end results are acceptable. Here is the seller's photo.

cool. you know i think the telescopic gauge is basically as good as an inside micrometer. Even if im using a inside mike to measure a bore i don't rely in the mike graduations.I just measure the inside mic with the out side mike as you would do with the teliscopic gauge.. The telescopic gauge is i think easer to handle than the inside micrometer. What do you think is the no. 1 thing you would like to buy tooling wise?.

ya i can understand the dividing head.you know some dividing heads tilt from horizontal to vertical.
not shore if the dividing head in vertical mode would be as good as a rotary table but maybe.
im just fitting some draw sliders under a work bench at the moment for that very reason.

I would go for a rotary table with dividing plates if you buy one new, second hand you take whats available and the right price.
If I lived up your way I would stalk you to find out where your buying them from.

Some nice gear their, and I really like the level.
Those little pieces down the left hand corner are for your dial indicator.
As for what the sockets are worth, I think that socket set sells for around $200 new, so that gives you some idea.
