G'day all do you think that starrett is a good brand of micrometer as I curenttly have a 0-25 and 25-50 mm starret outside micometer and am thinking about expanding this up to 100 mm for use work also are inter chanable anvil micrometers any good ? On another note I have discovered I know alot less about turning then I though.

There not a problem, with the interchangable type you may need to get them calibrated but generally dont give problems.

Starrett are a great micrometer, but I would tend to stear clear of interchangable micrometers as they dont seem to be as accurate, seems to flex slightly.
