Default Torpex shaper coming up for sale

When picking up the T & C Grinder yesterday I checked out this Torpex shaper that will be up for sale soon. It has no nameplate on it but it looks the same as my Torpex shaper. It is in good condition having been rebuilt by the last operator. I forgot to check but it may have a 3phase motor, which wouldn't be hard to change. The drive has been converted to use 2 car gearboxes making it easier to select speeds. It has a few bits of tooling and the vice with it. I would recommend it to anyone interested in a shaper to pick up in Adelaides NE suburbs.

The first 2 pics are the shaper itself and the last 2 of my Torpex, and its nameplate.

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

They are a bit sentimental about Dads stuff, but I think they mentioned $600, if I remember correctly, but I think you could perhaps negotiate. They really want the stuff to go to someone who will use it and look after it, a real shaper nut!!

Does anybody know what the shaper market is doing these days??
There must be others out there catching the bug, I already have 2!!

Thanks Burner. Someone at Woodcroft is trying to sell a hand operated one for $500, for an extra 100 you could have this!!!!
