HI Stuart,
I was doing the same. That's what prompted me to make this one. The damn thing kept digging in
I thought the same thing about the pivot point but in my inimitable style of assuming I was missing something I kept to that part of the drawing. What I did change was the thickness of the necked part. It just didn't seem strong enough and seems to have worked well with the extra thickness I gave it. Another thing that worried me about it was the amount of cantilevered weight back towards the clapper box pivot pin. I had visions of the clapper box not coming back to its resting place. That was unfounded though as it comes to rest nicely. I didn't get any chatter either...so far

25mm??? nah, don't need any of that tiny stuff, i have 1/2 a sq meter or so of 35mm, rusting in peace.....its too hard to move and too hard to cut up. Thats what the parting tool trial on the Queen was for.

35mm, hmmm I get the feeling there is going to be a bit of carnage coming up
We have heaps at work and not one of them the right size
I went to Ballarat Bolts and Fasteners and the bloke came back after a while covered in dust and said "gees as you can tell these aren't real shelf movers". I kid you not.
