If you care you can adjust that with pd071(I guess if you set it to "fast" it may trip the VSD, but thats just a guess. It would depend on the load, so I'd say a mill is much less likely to have problems than a lathe. Am yet to need to play with that one myself)

    Hi Stuart,

I forget but is that the setting that determines the speed of the response in relation to a change in the POT setting?

If so, I have made adjustments to that. More out of experiementation than anything else. In fact I'm going to change it back as I have found it's now a little slow. I'm finding it a little annoying when I set the RPM and it continues to creep for a few seconds afterwards.

    Cheers,

    Simon

    Hi Ueee,

I'll be interested to see the same setup on my lathe. The extra angular momentum or mass of the chuck and workpiece will make things behave a little differently to the mill, which has very little moving mass in comparison.

    Indeed it is.

    Hi Ueee,

I guess i will see. If I find it insufficient I can always add another one although that would be a PITA. They say they are equivalent to a 60W halogen so I'm hoping it will be sufficient. One things for sure, it's better than what I have right now.

On a side note, I have now noticed that one of my mom switches (for my one shot electric pump) does not work. What a PITA! Projects are difficult enough without having to de-solder a brand new faulty switch from the get go. Then there was another switch that fell apart after I took too long to solder the lugs!

    My downlight I chose:
