VFD manufacturers wake up!
If F1=1 and F13=0, then output at terminals XYZ=smoke and tears.
Why is it so difficult to set up parameters? For starters, the Operators manual is written in Hebrew in writing that can only be read with a high powered microscope, unless a PDF download is available.
What is needed for us dummies is a plug and play computer download, where the VFD can be set up following a series of questions, then transferred to the unit via a USB cable.
For example.
Do you want soft start, yes/no
Do you want soft stop, yes/no
Do you want fries with that, etc etc.
It could be that simple, but it's not as evidenced by so many questions from new VFD owners.
Gunna have another slurp, and get back to ploughing through the manual. Where's my gogs?

soft start and stop. they might call it ramping. "and how would you like your ramp?"
do you mean i get a choice.?
ive done 2 courses on motor drives. i may of been up to date with the programing for 48 hours
after the course. and longer than that forget it.
i can extract the fault code and press reset. which luckily does the trick most of the time.

Whilst the instruction book that came with my TECO FM50 is for the visually enhanced, it's not that hard to use. There is one page that lists the functions and their settings. The only time I touch the keypad is when I have to reverse the motor. I have to bypass the remote switching to do so. The VFD is set up for slow start. I don't use the VFD for speed control. My mill has continuously variable speeds from 58 - 2000 rpm, I leave the VFD set on 50HZ.
KJ, why don't you just set it to run first then fine tune the thing later? Start off simple. Complicated will be easier later when you've got the hang of it.

eskimo,
I was talking hypothetical, smoke will never emanate from my VFD whilst it sits in it's cardboard box.
