    Default honden lathe

    I have a old lathe that someone gave me its a honden l-450 can anyonetell me is this a wood lathe or a metal lathe and approximately what its worth its in very good shape

    I don't know it but google tells me it's Taiwanese metal working lathe. Brand name could be a generic, I think, what about some pictures.. In good condition it would be worth something, maybe $500 - $1000 ish

    Would that be AUD, or USD? Personally wouldn't have a clue what lathes of Eastern origin are worth in the US, although going by some forums you'd struggle to give it away...

    Agreed... take your pick of currency, makes no difference, it's all down to condition and accessories

    Hi
    These are quite a common lathe in Australia, often branded McMillian or Repco. I have one that I paid $1300 for with a stack of tooling and a tool post grinder. It is a way better machine than I can presently use - something to grow into for me.

    It cost the original owner $1670 in the early 1970s.

    A bit of googling will give you a manual.
