VFD / VSD selection help
I am about ready to buy a VFD to fit to my lathe. I have a 1.5 hp 3ph motor, and was looking at these vfd's on ebay.
I want one with vector control, for more constant torque.
Does anyone have an opinion which of these would be better or can recommend a similarly priced alternative .
BobL has one of these first ones, so I know they work at least.
SAJ 1.5KW VSD VFD inverter 240V variable speed drive | eBay
1.5KW (2HP) single to 3 phase VFD Variable SpeedDrive | eBay
The SAJ has 12 months warranty, where the 2nd one only has 6 months.
I am leaning towards the SAJ at the moment.

Hi Ironwood,
It's difficult to see much difference between them, the SAJ is a bit cheaper, and looks like the control panel can be remotely mounted.
+1 vote for the SAJ, but see what BobL has to say about his.
Regards
Ray

Thanks Ray.
I phoned the guy selling the second one to ask about warranty, as it wasnt mentioned on the ebay ad. He went on about me being protected by ebay etc. but said he would give 6 months warranty.
The SAJ being 12 months has me feeling slightly better about it. And the fact that Bobl has one already that he has up and running.
