    Default Waldown Bench Grinder

I was interested in this item as I have always wanted a cast iron stand for my Waldown Grinder, I also thought the linisher would be useful, as would the mop etc. This one is 240v so I could have used it straight away, the 3 phase still hasn't been run from the house to the shed. There fore my current Waldown, Colchester lathe and few other items are not able to be run.

Compared to new the sale price is cheap, but compared to the usual secondhand market price for the ones I have seen it is at least 3x the price.

Any ideas on why this one should be so much more desireable? or just crazy bidding??

As you say, still cheaper than buying new, and it would be a great restorer with the art deco cast stand. There were quite a few different bidders all of whom seemed to want this grinder, which was good for Grandma I guess. As much as I like it, it is too rich for my meagre pockets, did you end up with it or was it too spendy for you as well?

Finished way out of my budget! I paid $80 for the same grinder in 3phase with a fabricated stand, so just couldn't justify the expense.

The cast stand is still listed on the Brobo website but they no longer have stock.
