Waldrich Coburg Movie
Some of you may remember photos I took last year at the Deutsches Museum of a 1954 Waldrich Coburg planer. https://www.woodworkforums.com/f65/wa...2/#post1392522
Well, I just wandered into the PM Deckel forum and found this movie posted by Kees which shows the factory in that same year. If you are not interested in the beautiful town and its surrounds, start at the 5 minute mark.

If old machines don't do it for you, have a look at Ross "Alfa GT"s modern spiral milling for an old car. Stunning. All Ross's work is just superb.

Hi BT
If only I had room in my shed for all of those . Well except the 12 year olds with the files.
Is there meant to be another link to Ross's work?
Thank you
Stuart

Stu,
It was the post before that of Kees.
Spiral Milling along with a bit of turning (large, lots of photos)
and while you are at it have a look at Tien's handiwork. Makes my base look piddly in comparison.

The counter weight on the sector detent is a nice touch I dont recall seeing before.

Hi BT,
That base looks great, not sure I understand how it got broken and I dont even want to think about what a lump of cast that big would cost. Still it looks $1,000,000.
I see they stole my semi-circular Tee nut idea

Great little movie, and not a pair of safety specs in sight!
