Warren and Brown lathe chuck jaws
Have a 4 3/8 Warren and Brown 3 jaw self centring lathe chuck. Only problem is I don't have reverse jaws for holding parts through bores.
Chuck was manufactured in Victoria but would have to 40 years plus old.
Anyone know if I could find a set somewhere?
Other option is buy a new chuck.

Can you provide dimensions of the jaws and the tpi of the scroll. I have a set that must be from a chuck of around that size and you can have them if they fit. Otherwise Mick moyles in Sydney advertise having hundreds of jaws to choose from, maybe someone up there could help?

Have been able to try about four sets that are similar in size but not exactly he same. Scroll pitch seems to be different to most. Will measure them up and put up a pic. Thanks.

Another option that you could consider is making your own - Harold Hall in MEW 146 (January 2009) describes how to set up to make soft jaws for older chucks and includes the scroll interface.
He uses a rotary table but if you have access to a CNC mill it would be even easier I would imagine. If you made up several sets you could toss them out when they got too ratty to use.

Hmmm, spend extra at work while not getting paid.
Thanks for the thought though.
