Whats this foam called?

Guys,
I have a couple of old wooden micrometer boxes where the foam has disintegrated into dust so I need to replace it. The thing is I don't know what it is Im asking for!!

Attached is a picture of some modern foam in my digital calliper box. Id be happy with that, or even something that would deform slightly when I put the mic in the box and closed the box.

Any pointers as to what I need and where I can get if from? I only need 2 bits for one box about 6" x 3" and 2 bits for the other box, probably about 8" x 4". I suspect ebay would be a good bet if I can get the search right!

I'd use EVA foam, check this for a starter:

Closed Cell Foam | Clark Rubber

It comes in different densities, the higher the number the higher the density.

A reasonable alternative can be found in many craft shops, as EVA foam - usually sold in little A4 size packs, or sometimes in thicker sheets (6mm) depending on the craft store. Thicker again are the EVA tent floor mats from Bunnies.

G'Day,
I have used high density foam mouse mats (remember them ?) the ones I have used have a black fabric bonded to the foam, cost about $2.00 each at Officeworks.
