Making a Wormgear with a Screw Tap (Free Hobbing) A Design & Manufacturing Guide
I was pondering a few things and contemplating worm gears for minute rotational adjustments, not for power transmission - that's quit a rabbit hole and they are predictably expensive
Anyway I came across this video for cutting a worm gear of sorts which employs thread cutting taps - just perfect for what I had in mind - really good video also with heaps of information
