Not good Artme .... momentary lapse of concentration is all it takes unfortunately and there are not many second chances. With any luck you will heal up and be good as new in a couple of months. Plenty of time to plan the next project.

Unfortunately that's all it takes. Because of the medication I'm on there are days when I do not go near the workshop because I'm too tired to concentrate enough, especially in the afternoons.

At times that is a real bummer but then again Rome wasn't built in one day. A good reminder too remain careful.

Oooh Art, I hate reading stories like this. I had a minor skirmish about six months ago. Not due to carelessness, but poor eyesight. Had to move the offcut which was vibrating towards the blade - it was in the out-of-focus range and i just clipped my thumb on the blade. It gave me the worst hit of adrenalin ever, and i felt physically sick for some hours after.

In the end it was only a minor wound worthy of a bandaid, nothing like what you've done. Wish you a speedy recovery.

Absolutrly agree!!. I don't seek sympathy but posted this as a salutary lesson for others who might be inclined to think they are half so clever and invincible!!!

Yes I had a nagging feeling that I was wrong. Looked it up and yes, my feeling was right! Didn't get to post the correction as we had visitors arrive.

Bobby Fuller was part of agroup called "The Crickets"I think. Just wondering if they were the crickets that Buddy Holly had as his group?
