    Default Close call cutting circles

I would never cut a circle like this on a table saw. Sawstop or no Sawstop.
I like doing it on the bandsaw with a jig.

I saw another similar video before building my circle cutting jig for the table saw. That's why I always clamp the piece down before running it through the saw, but its always a good idea to see video's like this before trying something out of the ordinary.

There is a whole range of online videos on things better not done on a tablesaw. Cutting large molding profiles by feeding the board diagonally over the blade and making a bowl on a table saw are two that come to mind. Sometimes just asking yourself ''what can possibly go wrong?" can be the sensible way to go.

No idea about that. This is similar and looks like it is.

I'm starting to think twice about cutting circles on the tablesaw now. Even though I have the ability to clamp things down and not have my hands near the blade when cutting, I feel maybe its still not a perfect solution...

Hi Rob, The band saw is my next purchase so I'll have to learn the trick of the trade when I get it. Last time I used one I was when I was at school back in the 80's!.
