Townsville Floods - Fungal Aftermath
Townsville NQ flood aftermath:
Resident's face a relentless mould battle six months after the monsoon event. Some Townsville residents are still waiting to get back into their homes after unprecedented flooding in February. Cleaning companies are heavily booked and one cleaner says the mould is the "worst" he has ever seen. A mycologist (fungal expert) says the mould is "extreme" and "doubles every day" if it's not removed"
If your immune system is "compromised" ie is not strong you may be susceptible to such moulds and spores

Thankfully we were not affected by the flooding and we really feel for those affected in the unusual event. Both my wife & I would love to volunteer in the cleanup but both fall into the high risk category of residents and were advised by our GP's to "stay out of it."
