1st Pen Attempt
This is my 1st ever pen. The kit is the Executive Clicker from Timberbits. The blank is Brown Mallee Burl.
I started to finish it with satin wipe on poly, but after 3 coats I decided I'd like gloss better, so I switched to a coat of CFP Interior Flooring Poly. A coat of Ubeaut Wax and a buff and I was ready to take it to work today.
I'm still new to pen finishes, so if appreciate advice.

Hello John, what a ripper for a first pen, and what a beautiful piece of timber, better put a chain on it! or it will sprout legs!
As for the finishes , the final choice will be yours of course, but there are good tutorials here for CA Finish, and Mini WaX finish etc.

There are others , just do a search on "finishes ' etc

Not a bad first up effort John. Keep practicing and watch that the transition from blank to kit is smooth. Also try different finishes till you find what you like.

I'm doing a Californian Redwood blank now. I've decided to try wipe on poly, building up quite a few coats, to give to a friend for his birthday.
I'll definitely try the ca finish sometime soon tho.
