2013 Australia Day pen swap - Organiser needed
Evening all
I've organised The Australia Day Pen Swap the past couple of years and have decided to take a back seat for the next one.
It's not an overly onerous job and I can act as advisor to whomever takes on the task. Fred aka Big Shed is an invaluable mentor, and someone I relied on - Thanks Fred.
So if someone can take the baton it would be good.
The payment is the gratitude of your fellow forum members (although one forum member did send me a box of blanks, thanks again)
Thanks to everyone whom have made the swaps relatively easy to manage
Of course I'll still take part in the swap (if I don't nominate will swap OS and am willing to do an extra)
(I've posted this here as not everyone looks regularly in the swap segment)
cheers and thanksregards
Nick

Thanks Nick for doing such a great job on the last two swaps, well done.
Could I just add that it would be easier as far as communication (time zones etc) is concerned if this job was taken on by someone in Oz, rather than one of our os members.

It's with a little bit of trepidation that I'd be happy to take this one on.

Then in keeping with the spirit engendered I wish to place my name here as prepared to swap here in Aus or elsewhere. IMHO a direct one to one swap with a few blanks enables an equitable swap especially when exceeding 500 gram weight overseas as in the USA attracts not only a penalty exceeding 9 Dollars but an addition steep weight charge.
Also I register my thanks to all previous folks who have conducted the swaps. A very fitting way IMHO to celebrate Australia Day 2013.Nil Desperandum
