Default Bethlehem OliveWood and Afzalia Xlay

Two of the pens made for the Troops, will post some others later. 3 coats CA and Plastx polish. Engraving done with a Drag Engraver, still getting the hang of it, a little more involved than the laser Engraver, as it really needs a parallel surface to engrave, a bit difficult with StreamLines. Amos I cant sleep either overdid my rearranging the deckchairs in the workshop. Two beaut timbers using my old favorite centre band seems such a long time ago I started to use them and David at Timberbits bought 15000 of each colour to allow me to use them he has reordered many times since thank you David.

Love Olive Wood from all sources around the world and the other Xlay I note under similar threads bottom of the page. you cornered the market with this timber. Careful and thoughtful turning mate.

The aim is to be promoted I am sure so many servicemen will respond receiving beaut pens such as these. Happiest New Year.

    Peter.

They both look fantastic Amos, but really like the BOW.
Does the 3 coats of CA just seal the wood without giving a glossy finish?

Yes, it seals the wood, and I give it a buff with Plastx, really need more coats to have that deep shiny look.
