.280 Rifle Cartridge Ballpoint
A gun dealer customer wants 12 of these in a ballpoint.
A .280 Nickel plated cartridge with copper bullet nib, shed Mule Deer antler and Gold plated Rifle Clip and Finial. Not sure I like the combination of Copper, Nickel and Gold, but this is what he wants. The customer is always right........right?
As always comments and or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

Bullet pen
I'm not a big fan of bullet pens but that is nicely done.

Les
Real good feeling with your pen , for me the nickel cartridge and the copper bullet are real and as they come in real life, the antler is subdued and allows the cartridge to dominate, using the gold rifle clip and round gold top suits the whole pen. I am over killing for whatever reason with animals however the material we use for pens is the choice in this case of the as you say customer and this is to satisfy them not me for choice ,I respect that and enjoy the workmanship and style both take them to the top of the tree for me. Looked up Red Deer on Google and from that learned the significance of the name change from the indigenous name to Red Deer, I am thinking that association with the name and the use of antler etc becomes relevant even more.
It seems also you have a flair for the difficult and the skill to experiment and as I said from your first post with us look forward to all your masterpieces.
Kind regards Peter.Last edited by Penpal; 4th August 2008 at 02:00 PM. Reason: Words

Hi Les,
Great looking pen, I am an ex shooter and would be proud to own one of these - your customer should be very pleased.
I note that the antler is 'shed' does it turn differently from antler taken green? I am interested as I have some antler from a local 'venison farm' that will eventually become a pen - once my skill level is up to it!
Regards
Brendan
