Have you tried Forum sponsor Carrol's Woodcraft Supplies ?
They are located in Geelong so contacting them should be OK as they are not in Melbourne's current coronavirus restricted travel zone.

They don't have them listed on their website. The only pencil they list is the woodworkers pencil which is a bit of a crayon if you ask me.

Redbeard, you may well be correct. However, the lead sizes I know about are 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 0.9 and 2 mm.
After 2 mm diameter, the next sizes I'm aware of rectangular in X-section.

So I think it's worth a phone call to Geelong to check.

I've been looking at many of the offerings for the "leads" on AliExpress.... here are some that are in my cart...

2mm Color Pencil Lead 6 Colors 2.0mm
New Thick Pencil Core Colored Automatic Drawing 2mm
Professional Drawing 12 Colors 2B 2mm

I was going to use these to make little branches into "pencils" to sell (just like the impoverished street urchins of 18th century London!!!)

Chrome, gold, etc --> $27 to $33 for 50 kits .... OR one could choose the option that has 50 kits plus all the "tools" for $93.... ($8.25 shipping on both kits)
