2nd attempt bat pen
Hey I think I am getting better. Consulted the person whom this pen is for and he agreed that it was out of semetry. So this time I added 1/2 inch (12.7mm) to the top barrel and now I think I might have it. Also wrote his name on the pen as a touch. The pen now is 5 3/4 inch (146.05mm) long the top is ebony wood.
I have done so much for so long with so little I can now do almost anything with nothing!

Well, I thought the first one was pretty good. But I agree this one is better; fairer curve to the profile, and the top treatment looks more like a real baseball bat.

Good thinking in the length of the pen,I think the band is interesting and adds to the pen,a captive ring would be easy to fit on that shape.Feel like a sassanach since I know nothing about baseball. We had a magnificent finish to a vital cricket test here yesterday so I will make a cricket bat and ball, stumps in the future as it means a lot to me.Also since a sassanach is someone who is not scottish my ancestors from near Edinburgh would understand.
This great adventure of designing, pleasing people with this simple instrument called a pen is never ending. The worth of a pen.Peter

Gave the pen to him today and he was realy excited. He wanted to pay me but I denied saing he has to now show his softball buddys so hopefully I will get some orders from that. I think I figured a way to make the bat pen without the nib so I gata try that soon. Thanks for yall input.
