    Default 3 Bolt Actions

I had a 'play in the shed day' today and here is part of what I came up with. The gold & chrome ones are from Timberbits.

The chrome one is spalted maple and the gold one is an unknown burl which felt a lot like some Amboyna Burl I got a few years ago but didn't look like it when finished so I've no idea. It's not an Australian wood though. The gun metal one one is another unknown burl but this one is Australian. The figure that's in this bit of wood is amazing. There's maybe 4-5 more blanks in this bit of wood so will be using it sparingly

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

They look great with the timber barrels.
    Well done.

I've been using one of the PSI ones for a few weeks as my daily user. The mechanism felt a little clunky in it when I started but it's really smooth now and I find it's the one I reach for most of the time now. I've only had the Timberbits ones for a few days so can't speak for the ongoing use but I see no reason why they won't do the same.

They are nicely weighted pens and the mechanism is simple and solid. I've been struggling to keep up with the demand for these ones
