Jude
The first one looked trickey to turn with the knot come interest, you did well in fact great, you sure like cutting bits and pieces for the next two, theyare very different and sure to prove winners. The last one also looks like our aussie cedar in a way ,simple style good contrast when seen with the others. At this stage even after years I will stick to the timber as it unfolds.
My comment is keep them coming I enjoy seeing others pens. Peter

Jude , really like that yellowy one with swirly grain, as for the segmented ones, I just get jealous and drool. Amos

Love the spalted timber!
You've certainly got the seg'd pens down pat, they're looking better every time. But somehow, a simple blank of nicely figured timber still gets more Oohs and Aahs from me.

these look great. but I need to ask.
I can see how you get the staggered 'checkerboard' pattern, but how do you do a circle? It must be taller than wide when you start, right? Pi comes into this somewhere? (and a good saw?)maker of the original ResinSaver mold

Very nice, Jude! I am also one who likes pens that boast God's work more so than our own. However, I enjoy and appreciate the craftsmanship involved in such segmenting/inlay work. Beautiful job!
