    Default 3 x JR Gents

    Three JR GENTS from some time in the shed this week, from top to bottom;
    Olive Wood Burl, Black Ash Burl and Brown Malee Burl all finished with CA, sanded with 1200, EEE and McGuires plastic polish.

    Ok, ok Fred you caught me out, all the finials have been customised and nomally I would have shown them as individual pens with cap on and cap off but as I had a few to post today I did them in two groups. I will take some more pics tomorrow arvo and add them to this thread.

    Well as promised some pics showing the custom finials, I tried a couple of different looks thinking it may show off some off a bit more timber but unsure wether it was a good idea or not.

    Nice work mate, one of those custom finials really transforms a pen in to something special

    I like the first 2 better than the last one as it appears that you can see the inside of the finial ring on that one.

    Thanks for the input Fred, it appears that way in the photo but it is actually is flush with the top of the ring, however I am leaning towards liking them finished slightly proud as it gives them a more hand crafted look.
