Wow, you have been busy! Hoop Pine? Never heard of that one before.....what a shocker that. lmao. That wood is outrageous cool. I went to Cabella's this weekend looking for 30-06 shells and bullets. Spent an hour looking for the bullets with full metal jacket....no luck.
Technique question for ya. How do you put the twist mechanism in? Do you drill where the primer goes to 7 mm and insert the brass tube and press in the mechanism? I have been having issues in this area.
Cheers,
Rick

Rick let me guess, your mechanisms are binding up in the tube when you drill a 7mm hole. Well that was my issue with the 7mm hole. When you insert you mechanism that brass tube spreads, you get that allowance when turning timber or acrylic pen, the outer covering flexes not like the bullet once drilled. To over come this I drill the bullet from the primmer end with a 9mm drill and turn a timber sleeve to match the inside of the bullet to pressure fit inside. The mechanism will then go in and will not bind because the tiimber will flex. Will do some photos to clear it up if I have not been clear in my description.

G'day Darren,
Brilliant! Simply Brilliant. That is exactly what is happening and your solution is simple enough. This is going to drive me batty having to work all day with this going through my head, knowing that I have to wait all day to try it out. Thanks for the help.
Cheers,
Rick
