308-306 Parker
This is how I like to do my double bullet pens, using a .308 and a .306 casing allows the extra length to use a cigar mechanism and parker refill . I have seen various incarnations of this style but this one appeals to me for its aesthetic looks.
Just a quick flash picture ,these are polished and clear powdercoated for durability and to save on "Brasso" hehe, cheers ~ JohnG'day all !Enjoy your stay !!!

They look great John. Do you do the powder coating yourself, or use a commercial business?

I do my own powdercoating .the local people wanted about $7 each plus a minimun quantity and then only when they did clear coating in their schedule ,doing it myself I can do one on demand or a batch The outfit from the USA was not that expensive, I recovered my costs with my first batch of bullets , Dorno has a similar system and he dropped in here on one of his visits for a heads up on the process Cheers ~ John

Cookie I got a cheap (new ) step down transformer to power a drill wizard off ebay ,was about $50 at the time ,it also powers the powdercoating outfit and an antique engraving machine I picked up , so very useful as the landed prices of some of the USA machines at 110 volts is far cheaper than there local counterparts.
Mate I use a cigar mechanism and coupler which I buy seperately from, kits so no unused bits, I turn the flange part of the coupler off and drill the bullet casing to suit ,then press the coupler in to the appropriate length ! this is determined by the length of the bullet after its step drilled for the spring and refill . A bit fiddly to get it right , after the parts are fitted , then I powder coat as an assembly ,without the refill which won't take the 175c temperature to powdercoat. You can use a standard cigar cap end with tube and clip for the other end ,but that means you can't have a rifle clip
