4 for today and a USB
Another semi productive day in between watching the cricket.
2 Bolt Actions
Another Dyed Sierra Blue this time
A Green Dyed Polaris - I need to rework this one as I forgot to check the bush sizes and the tip bush is slightly larger than the tip of the pen in the kit by about 5 thou...not happy.
and
An 8GB USB in Gold & Jarrah
Bouquets & Brick Bats welcome.
Cheers

Nice batch, I haven't seen the USB kits before. Where did you get them from?
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Wow... $50 for an 8gig USB is a bit rich, even $34 is a lot of $$. I don't think it would take much work to modify a cheaper version. Might have a think about that one

At one stage they did offer it minus the USB chip for $10 or $15 which would allow for using a cheaper USB chip, but alas it appears they do not do this anymore.
Even the 2GB one is $25.
They now offer a 16GB one for $40 which is better value but still expensive.

All very nicely done Shawn. My pick is the blue & green Sierra's.
I too was keen on the USB kit until you mentioned the price. Seems a bit over the top when compared to other pen kits. Real pity.Dallas

Sure is a shame about the price.
I'm thinking about buying a bunch of USB stick's from Dick Smiths for a few bucks each then turning up the housings using a light and dark timber. Only thing I have never done is turn threads which is probably what you will need to do for the cap.
Food for thought anyway.

5-0
Im surprised he managed to get any work done, in England's last innings I was going to have a beer for every wicket, needless to say I got drunk really quickly
Great work by the way Shawn, I like the green dyed ones but I like the blue better, purely based on personal colour preference,
Cheers ben

I like the green & blue sierras the best. I've considered doing a USB, but the way USB's are stacked on PC's, I doubt that round holder would work. Maybe if the USB is removable, then it might be usefull. And I agree, the price is just way too high for what you get.

My browser (Chrome) offers to translate. Interesting well made pieces, but all to much effort for return for me. Personally, for years now I have used USB to give other people info and maybe backup in drawers but have relied on the cloud or variations to transfer my own data.
