"48 pen display box" - not
Well, I bought one of those 48 pen display boxes (24 in each half) a while ago, and now that I'm getting a collection of pens, I'm finding it virtually impossible to get anywhere near that number in.
If they were all thin slimlines, it's be no problem, but anything bigger than that and 1) they don't sit side-by-side without rubbing and 2) they hit one another when on opposite sides of the lid & base.
I'm sure most of you have figured this out for yourselves already, but for any newbies, be careful of sizes and capacities when ordered pen holders.

The 48 pen box is designed only for slimlines.
You have to purchase the 30 pen box if you wish to hold the larger pens like the Sierras that you are making.
Let me know if you need one. I have a few spare.

The 30 pen box is ok, but even then some pens you need to "interleave" ie only 7 pens one side and 8 the other for larger pens, with sierras I use the 48 box but interleave the pens meaning I get 24 in only, Amos

I've got the 40 pen box from CSUSA and the slimline pens hit top & bottom unless the clip is turned to the side.

I use this 32 pen case and seems to work fine for the larger pens along with my rifle cartridge pens.
