Default 9-9-11 Slim Line Coolabah Burl

This weeks pen is a Black Slim Line dressed in Coolabah Burl with my usual finish EEE & SW. The one we were going to make was a Chrome Cigar but the epoxy didn't set and we ripped the tube out with the end trimmer so we made the slim line that was glued up previously.

Nicely turned and finished well done
But there is something about that shape that gives me a tummy ache.

Very nice pen But ans Rum pig has said there is something about the shape. It looks a very thick pen and I think that size pen would look really nice with a streamline centreband but thats just my opinion and I would like to hear what others think ?

    nice job mate .
some dont like that shape in pens but i kinda dont mind that shape though not crazy about it , but some people will love that shape and if we are selling pens to people we need to cater for all tastes not just our own and for that reason i always have a few of that style in my display case and they sell too.

think the problem is Ppl aren't used to seeing a pen that doesn't look like a fat hog tied in the middle the bottom follows the tip very nicely and comes to the diameter were the shape flows to the centre band with a tight radius it defines the mid point, the same radius is on the upper tube and it flows to the end cap.

Over all I think this is a great redesign and great out of the box use of the "old 7mm kit"

a little harsh on the tip to body angle (could be blended some what) but very stylish and great job
