    Default Acrylic block

The pen you have seen before, what I am looking for is opinions on the pen prop, if favorable, I will pursue it a little more.

Ed, personally I think it takes away from the pen. Its an interesting looking prop, but maybe thats the trouble.
No doubt, there will be some that like it, as it does add interest.

Edit; just looked again, maybe because its got similar colours to the pen, it blends too much with the pen.
Maybe with a pen of a different colour, it would look better.

The pen does tend to blend with the pen. But gives way to an idea from photography. Have a set up of a blacked out cylinder or PVC pipe would work too. Have a light source inside the cylinder creating an up light. Have a small pane of clear glass with a clear acrylic block for the pen to rest on. Now the fun part. Get different colors of cellophane and create different color filters to give different lighting effects.

Well Ed, I can't see either properly. You better send them both to me for a closer inspection ! ....................I 'DO' like them together, they complement each other.

I think it's a great concept, I like it a lot. If the top 2/3 was clear I think it would look even better though to help differentiate the 2 items. In a display cabinet with the LED underneath it would look brilliant. Well done.

ED ! it looks really nice but for me I would like to see a similar block if possible but in clear with the forms in a neutral colors ,that way it retains its interest and would suit anything you cared to display cheers ~ John

Ok, will do a little more work on it and see how it turns out...by the way, the block is a bottke stopper blank we just started to carry, it comes in a brown base like this one, a reddish amber color and blue, all have the same basic clear acrylic with the two or three color ribbons...
We sold all nine of them the same day we received them, so I would imagine you will see it advertised on a lot of sites soon...(thats a hint to the forum sponsers!)

Stunning presentation with the lit block Ed but as the others have said, it steals from the pen.
