acrylic dimple problem
hello all
I've just turned down a bought acrylic
unfortunately it must have had a couple of air bubbles as I now have a few smallish dimples/craters/holes/whatever, which I'm not too happy about
anyway what's the best way to fill them? ca? or something else?
thanks in anticipationregards
Nick

you sure they were bubbles? you didn't use a blunt tool causing chatter when you turned it did you.
I've done it myself. I now stop a Bees-D#@k before final size and sand out the dimples.
Too many times I've gone for a final cut and given myself the problem, so I sand the final passes, bit more time, less chance of mucking it up.

Yes, just fill them with CA. Medium if you have it so it doesn't run away, otherwise a few layers of thin will get you there.
Just turn or sand back to the original blank.
