My first acrylics
Just for something different I thought I'd give a couple of acrylics a go. Although they tuned and finished well I didn't get the same satisfaction from them as I would from a nice piece of burl. Having said that they do look quite attractive and will probably sell well so I guess I'll be doing some more. All have been micromeshed to 12000, brasso and hut wax as a finish.
1. A black with white lines on an Australiana Elegant Beauty, both from Timberbits. This is my favorite of the three.
2. Royal blue with white and black lines on a Sedona II rollerball, once again both from timber bits.
3. Orchid with white lines from timberbits on a gunmetal polaris kit. The polaris kit is not one of my favorites but I thought the contrast between the gunmetal and orchid would look good, though the jury is still out on the end result.

I saw your orchid one when you posted it and also thought it was too dark, which is why I went with the white.
