No, wait. This iamge just flashed into my head of Skew standing at a band saw slicing off pink ivory blanks while the rest of the group stands in a line, holding their mandrels up before them ..

And sure enough, there's Toni doing her best Oliver Twist impression "Please, Sir ... I want more! "

I have some of my original piece left but only thin laminates destined for a jewellery box and offcuts for gluing into blanks as highlights. (Oh... and a couple of jars of the shavings! ) So I want some more for myself and have feelers out for sources. Hopefully I'll get some answers tomorrow [fingers Xed] and will post prices if I strike it lucky.

No guarantees, of course, but I'm hoping.

I've found it here, but I'm sure the shipping to the other side of the planet might make it an economical non starter.

Woodcraft in the US has some Pink Ivory available, albeit, they only sell one 5-inch piece at a time for $3.99 USD. Here's the link so you gents can view for yourselves.

PSI has some wider and longer pieces but they start at $15.95 USD

And as NL stated above, I'm sure the shipping is astronomical for y'all.

I didn't get my hoped for replies today. Maybe tomorrow. After that, I imagine it'd be another week or so before they're contactable again.

the guys at specialty wood centre at toronto had some pink ivory at the wood show that ranged from about $4 to $13 for a pen blank. they might still have some so might be worth a call.
