Default Back on the air again

My digital camera disappeared, (lost stolen or strayed) a few months ago
and have been unable to post any pics.

Resurrected an old Kodak digital today and hopefully they show
the pens in a reasonable light.

Blackwood, Centre: Aromatic Red Cedar. Right: Cypress Pine.

Alan love that centre cedar and the rest it just stands out unlike your misplaced camera.

The Aromatic Red Cedar is still very green. I cut some blanks, wrapped them in Glad Wrap and stuck them in the freezer for two weeks, then gave them a few zaps in the micro wave for about thirty seconds over a ten minute period then made a couple of pens.

The blanks have been cut across the grain and I was impressed with the results.

I too love that ARC. By the way if using the freezer method, it works better without the Gladwrap, but perhaps SWIMBO demanded it

SWMBO does not know I still have some on the bottom shelf. By wrapping it
in Gladwrap she probably thinks it is foodstuff. Hate to think what she will
say if she tries to cook it - or dish it up to me for dinner sometime.
