Alien from Area 51 has landed in OZ!
This is the latest from Jeff, he had three and one was for me. Difficult to photograph and capture the beauty and depth, I think I'll need Fred to do it properly. Hope you enjoy it, I did, Amos

Hey Amos,
Rippa job mate, I asume that Jeff doesn't do comercial quantities?, I reckon that would just prostitute the market.
Awesome stuff but.
Love your work, Thanks for sharing

Thanks again, Hazza, It takes quite some doing to make the blank and that also limits the amount he makes, I think he doesn't really charge for the time put into it, because if he did the price would be prohibitve. Amos

Very unusual blank Amos and you picked the right kit for it. Can't have been easy to turn that blank, plenty of opportunities for a "blow-out" there.
You have done Jeff's blank proud and produced a superb pen, real craftsmanship

Fred, I tried not thinking of what Jeff said to me " if you blow this one there is no other", It was not so much the price as the availability that frightened me, and if you knew the price it would make your hands shake, so I prayed and turned, and sharpened and prayed, and prayed and ----!!" thank God it came out ok. Thats amazing Amos.
Did you photograph the blank before you started? Something like that would take days to make!
Great work and thanks for sharing.

Love all of these custom blanks you're getting your hands on Amos. I would also be interested in seeing how the blanks look prior to turning.
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.

Sorry, I did not photograph the blank, BUT, I will describe it. The cap portion you could see the SKULL and that is ALL, no stars just all grey! The bottom portion ALL grey, no stars, spaceship, planets-just all grey , they were taped together in a line and I kept that orientation because I was using a Jnr. Statesman. As I turned the blank stars and planets started to appear. Hope that helps in some way. If you need to know more, I will communicate with Jeff and ask him. Amos
