Amos,
From the bottom of my heart I say thank you for you generosity and craftsmanship. At the very first forum get together I attended you were kind enough to shown me your pens, talk to me about turning and encourage me to get on with it and do what makes me happy.
The thing that blew me away... your true generosity. At the end of the event you quietly came up beside me, shook my hand and slipped a pen into my shirt pocket as a gift.
Such generosity of your time and talents has inspired me no end.
Thank you for making a difference.
With respect
Kevin

Have only just seen this and would like to extend my family's wishes to Amos. Amos did all my pen engraving and lived about 12 km from where I live so I had the opportunity to see him a few times. I have met few individuals with his warmth and generosity. His knowledge of pen turning is vast and I have missed being able to track down the highway to discuss pens. I can tell from the quality of replies here that you have touched many of us and can't thank you enough for your time and support.
All the best,
Tony

Thanking You All for your kind remarks
I would like to thank you ALL, once again for the kindness of your thoughts and remarks and prayers.. Recently I had radiation treatment on my lower bowel to stop bleeding, thus far it seems to have worked, my health is still average! most times it is down and sometimes it is just ok. In my mind I could get up and turn a thousand pens!!! I miss turning, once I stand up and try and do things weakness and tiredness takes over; my heart wants to continue living so that my family can be blessed, would love to see my children and grandchildren grow up. Wish I could help you, my fellow turners in this life also.
If I have forgotten your name, if I have forgotten to give you thanks for what you have done for me, do please forgive me, it is not intentional; I am living with my son in Brisbane, that way if I fall he can lift me up and put me in a wheelbarrow I sign off for now, with a grateful heart. Amos is a Facebook friend of mine. He's a lovely man who goes out of his way to help anyone. He's not in Palliative Care at the moment. 😀 As far as I Amos is back with his son in Brisbane. He's such a beautiful man.
