Thread: Two Atlas and a Knight Pen

I turned a two Atlas pens for the display at our Woodcraft store.

The top one is some Buckeye Burl on a Black TI Atlas.

The second pen is Cocobolo on a Gold Atlas.

The third pen is a nice piece of BOW on a Knight Pen that is destined for
a Jewish friend in Tucson.





The Cocobolo blank is one I did at our last weeks Pen Turners Club meeting where I did a demo on how I apply CA to any oily Rosewood Family wood after giving it an alcohol bath for over an hour.

Most of the orange resin and oil as pulled from the blank and then Med CA and polished with MM.





If you look closely at the second pen you can see that the 'Orange' color returned to the Pen after a few days.
