    Default Aussie Money Pen

    Hey There,

After seeing Les's Canadian Money Pen Blanks, I thought that I would enquire about getting some Shredded Aussie money, after a few (quite a few) phone calls, I was passed from one department to another, I was finally told that it is a Federal Offence to deface or destroy Australian Currency, so please don't do it or if you are silly enough to do it don't tell anyone. Apparently our old notes are granulated and sold to a Plastics / Polymer manufacturer and recycled, I asked if I could get any of that and also got another NO. So now I have another Plan in my head and I will head down that track.

Not sure if you have them out your way, but we have a local stall at a shopping center buying/selling gold, and they have been advertising using $50 fake bills. They look pretty real and of a similar plastic material, but printed as a bank note only on one side (advertising on the other), and slightly larger than the normal $50 note. As I go past each day I have been collecting them, as once they are shredded you will not be able to tell the difference in an Ausi money blank .

I think I'll need about 5 of the notes for a double pen blank . I'll let you know how I go.

    Cheers
    Neil

I have also seen in some of the cheap shops they have monopoly money in Aussie Dollars or even so small money packs around also in aussie dollars.
Also seeing that nobody will read this (lol) have you thought about photocopying some notes or doing both sides and see what happens from there.

    I won't tell anyone if you don't

    Cheers Ian
