Default Australia Day Swap from DON WARD 2012

Received a week ago from Don this beautiful Rattlesnake Skin Pen, the first time I have seen this kit? love the way it parks in the pocket and posts so well. Don also asked mewhat width I would prefer (medium) and fitted an upmarket Bock nib for me.

He also cast for Slimline another Rattlesnake double blank. His quality in casting is amazing invisible join, brilliant depth and shine.

Pic of his enclosed blanks from Texas as well.

Using the phone we have enjoyed many convrersations and friendship, thank you Don.

Seamus lives just up the road in Texas and slipped two Quarter half blanks to complete a swap we had made into the parcel. Don has been quite a mentor to Seamus who also is great with his speciality in Quarters, scrollsawn as well as a Snake fanatic.

    Kind regards Peter.

Well done Peter, Dons Snake pens are very nice and a joy to use. I was lucky to swap with Don in the past and to am the lucky holder of one of his masterpieces, which I cherish. This is why I enjoy the Pen Swaps, you get to swap pens with other pen enthusists from all over the world. A nice set of blanks as well. Cheers Gerry

Your a lucky Lad Peter. Bet you had a grin from ear to ear when opening the package. Make sure you post some pics of the pens you make from the great selection of timbers. Cheers.
