    Default Bamboo Pen Set

Thought i would try my hand at making a custom box for a pen set made entirely out of Bamboo ( apart from the metal :P )

This is my first ever go at making a pen box !! hope you like it.IMG_0196.jpgIMG_0202 - Copy.jpgIMG_0205.jpgIMG_0207.jpg

Normally I find anything to do with pens boring, but this really impresses me
very well executed both pens and box

Thanks guy but i cant take credit for the style as it is based on the ones that Timberbits makes for the galleries.
I still have a lot to refine to get them to a gallery standard but i think this is the way i want to head, I might never get them into galleries but i like the whole gift box look.
Plus i get to do a bit of turning as well as some other kind of wood working and can justify to the wife all the money i have spent on tools and machinery

if i showed my wife that set she would say 'and how much did you say that really cost to make'

Well done but I hope u did wear dust protection, bamboo is one of the worst timbers to work with. It is like glass when sanded causes huge air way problems

I havent invested much in to dust prevention at the moment as im still building my new shed but i do have a single bag dust extractor and most of the sanding that i did was by hand
i would love a cyclone system but they cost a fortune
